Zobo (Zobwo) Ward (often pronounced “Zobo”) lies northwest of Jos North, along the Bassa–Kaduna highway. It includes Kpari Chinge, the Zobo market center (with two polling stations), Tafi Gana, and Zogu. The villagers speak Ce (Gurum) and Hausa; many are farmers or traders serving highway traffic. Zobwo is in Rukuba/Irigwe constituency and its voters have occasionally been swing votes. Infrastructure-wise, Zobo has a major rural market and a small health clinic. The ward’s road (to Jengre and to Bukuru) is a local priority.
