Kakkek Ward is in the far south of Bassa LGA, close to the Kaduna border. It includes Kakkek town and many hamlets: Bagusawa (Zangur Gbagoso), Binamgo, Binango, Dukuwa, Egbak, Igbaiji, Katumai, Kihamg, Kuri, Kasari (Zangur Kasari) and others. Kakkek has one of the over 7,000 voters in 2023 elections. It is economically important for cattle trade (Bagusawa used to have a big livestock market) and arable farming. The ward has its own tertiary road linking it to Kwall/Kaduna. Politically, Kakkek is part of Rukuba/Irigwe constituency; in past elections it split votes between the main parties.
